ilovemetric…dotcom
March 10, 2009
the entire new metric album popped up online today, which made this tuesday feel more like a wednesday or a thursday. i think i told my roommate this weekend how psyched i was for this to come out and, as fate (or his knack for scouring the internet in search of unreleased music) would have it, he came across said album this afternoon and sent me the link.
only after a brief and surprisingly not very passive-aggressive conversation with my friend mark, which began by me sending him to www.ilovemetric.com, did i realize that beyond its unfortunate leak, the album is also streaming on the band’s myspace page.
check out the album and enjoy it. my friend livingston has a three-listen theory about the amount of time it can take to absorb a new record. this one took me no more than fifteen-seconds. i dare you not to love it.

i have only recently discovered metric and have completely fallen head over heels in love with “help i’m alive”. and there’s nothing better than a band giving away a free acoustic download of the song you love on their myspace page .. even better to read the album is up. maybe we can sing and hold hands next time we see one another.
